Orchestral Melee

Having a deadline helps. I vouch for this to be true always when it comes to tasks related to my professional life. When it comes to tasks in my day to day personal life, I would say, the above is true most of the times. But very rarely, my brain is at its best and delivers more than expected under a deadline, when it comes to creative tasks. I do believe creativity should not be curtailed by any time limits and should be left to expand or grow till it hits a block. This, is true in my opinion in all form of creative arts.
Which is why, this composition titled “Orchestral melee”, in spite of it being a very short piece, gives me immense satisfaction listening to it almost 2 years after it was composed (conceptualization to final mastering) literally in less than an hour, because of a deadline I had to work under. I consider this a rare phenomenon given my limited experience. But, of course, you have every right not to like it..Do post your comments.

A piece of Grandeur!!..Beginning is very grand…but still i feel that, it could have been refined more….reasons may be,
- the piece is too short to strike or create any imagination .
- Your previous songs that i heard had a theme, whether similar to your imagination or by the listener’s own, but it created some impression.
My suggestion is to extend this piece , to remove the feeling of incompleteness..again that does not mean that short pieces will not impress…but something is missing , i dont know how to xpress…( enna? nalla kuzhapparenaa?!)
Your comments are well taken..:-) I look at this piece from a small keyhole because I had a specific reason for this short piece and I had this 1 minute limit as well..But when looking at it generally without knowing the context, I can understand where you are coming from.
It is one of those genres that I haven’t explored much. Every time an idea gets formed, it gets squashed after a few tries…So may be I have to work with a little more focus in getting an orchestral piece with some meaning out.
Thanks..for your comments.
