Afro Neram

Hit a stagnant period of sorts – musically speaking. Several half-hearted attempts and several rounds of disappointment later, I decided I would spend an early morning in the studio. I think that helped – at least as far as completing this piece goes.
This Sunday morning – In about 90 minutes I had this African experimental piece done. And spent another 30 minutes mastering it.
I am calling it “Afro Neram”.
Feedback/comments welcome as usual. Enjoy!

Annan, May be the reason I could hear you, annan, than a singer’s voice, i feel if there is some other voice which would be more even with the style. The style is really awesome!
Of course Venni..Always a problem with my recording. I end up using my voice which I don’t think suits most songs…I compose..:)
Very good attempt…the beat is typical of African songs…flute piece is good…..the humming/background chorus is very typical , I can imagine an african dance with that.! I feel you have tried to sound like one of those heavy african voices,..it suits , its good….But what is the lyrics about? am imagining something..but need to know from u too..
Well..Keep posting on Music. What about.an inspirational, strong music for anti-corruption?!As u had rightly mentioned, now we need to worry abt real India..So try something to give in that feel…a suggestion..
Thank you as usual. Don’t read too much into the lyrics. It is really filler lyrics with some simple words that fit into the tune. I wanted some sort of a fun song with not much meaning and all that. If I had extended the song then I would have come up some more meaningful lyrics.
And I know the song would have sounded better with a more thick voice..(more bass).
Actually there is a song I did on anti-corruption movement – I was not inspired by Anna Hazare but my friend was..and he wrote a song in Telugu. Here it is..
