Well..I really should have posted this before I posted my “Far away” piece.
Nevertheless, here it is..a five year old song (gosh – I am getting older) that was written pretty much after the first wave of killing, in Iraq in 2003.
Dream on..
https://ganpy.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/dreamon2.mp3″Here are the words..
Voice:
The Night falls – You may never know the difference..
You clutch your fists – And hug your loved ones..
As you crawl to the wall..
Which you think is safe..
Another Explosion!!
—
Dream on, Dream on – (It’s) Just another day..
Dream on, Dream on – Words that they don’t just say..
Soldiers in the River,
Mothers in a Shiver..
“Save my Child!” – “Save my Child!”
Can this can this end?
No more No more pain..
Dream on..
–
They gather around the city center
No one really wanna be there
Decapitate
Emaciate
They gather…(repeat)
They trample on their victory laps
Some tremble on their door steps
(This) Can’t go on! Or can it go on?
They trample (repeat)..
–
Dream on, Dream on – (It’s) Just another day..
Dream on, Dream on – Words that they don’t just say..
Soldiers in the River,
Mothers in a Shiver..
“Save my Child!” – “Save my Child!”
Can this can this end?
No more No more pain..
Dream on..Dream on..
Love is all you need
Dream on..Dream on..
Love is what we will give..

Some how missed this good song. Hearing it for the past 2 days, want to give a feedback to my hearts content, so i write and rewrite somany times.
I like everything about this, the Music, Melody, The lyrics, The mood of the song, the instruments used( more of synth, i guess..right?)
“save my child…can this, can this end…”is touching and catchy.
I like the song Boney’M’s ” We kill the world”…the melody is different totally, but may be the theme is more or less similar, so i was reminded of that song.
Why i quote other songs is to tell you the way i understood yours. ( its a compliment!)
Beautiful piece…pain in a soothing cover.
This was my tribute to Floyd. I don’t remember the BoneyM song you were referring to..but overall, yes I do understand when you compare the song with a well known song, I consider it as a compliment even if you don’t mention it 🙂
One of my older songs and certainly closer to my heart.
