Bheed Hai

Here is an attempt to create a Hindi pop/club song – As always, the intention was good..but not sure if I am happy with the end product yet. I guess I can keep working on it and improve the overall output but then there is no end to such a quest for perfection within my limits. I surely had a blast working on this number over 2 weekends.

Special mention to Sanjay for stringing together some Hindi words in a rhyming manner, thus possibly realizing that there could be a lyricist in him. Ron is the singer and he did a terrific job given that the scale of this song was not in his comfort zone.

The song is called “Bheed Hai”.

Here you go..

Also, some trivia on the making of the song can be found here.

Besides fantasizing about being a Peter Gibbons at least for a couple of days at my work, I think I have a long way to go to realize some of the other fantasies. But like any ambitious man out there, I will get there! 1. Perfect party Theme!!
Ron’s voice is good., maintains the pace and tune even if its not in his comfort zone. The Initial voice and the “Bheed hai” rap is yours , right?.Very very catchy!!
Note is deviating in some areas in the main song…verry subtly, only if heard repeatedly.
More stress on the background rhythm can be given at some places to push the song to higher spirit levels..is my suggestion.
But i like the pure tabla part inbetween and the voice modulation in that area..
The Dist. guitar as usual adds grandness to this song at the end. very grand..
Good..work, but very unfortunate that i cant follow the meaning of the song.
I could imagine how you guys must have had a blast making this song! Good team work!

  2. I agree with your comments on the stress on rhythm. Even I feel the same after repeated hearings. But like I said before, it is tough to go back to a song that is “done”.
Ron’s a good singer. He contributed to the song with a lot of ideas. It was fun doing it!!
