Turkish Delight

Here is an attempt to add a new genre to my repertoire :-). The idea was to create a celebratory song which embodies the spirit of the culture through the  ambience it creates. And I thought a general chant would work better (and thus make it easy for me, as I don’t need to worry about lyrics).

I have named it “Turkish Delight”…

Besides fantasizing about being a Peter Gibbons at least for a couple of days at my work, I think I have a long way to go to realize some of the other fantasies. But like any ambitious man out there, I will get there! 1. very experimental!! i liked it very much….Enigma range la, you can create those specific culture moods, an islamic feel…just using those chants ,flute, ?santoor accompaniment is very thrusting….really a delight!

    1. I am glad you noticed the mood..The instruments used in this are Turkish Santoor which is more Oud like and of course a flute that sounds different from the classical Indian one but definitely resembling it more closely that any other in the family that I am aware of..
Enigma range – That’s too much of a compliment!! 🙂 But yes, the idea is to just use some ethnic chants..Would have sounded better with a better voice!
