Jai Swarnim Gujarat

This was one of those low profile projects AR Rahman had worked on in the recent past. Given that he is working on an anthem/album for the Semmozhi conference, this comes as a surprise as he has done something similar for Gujarat, all hush-hush. This is for Gujarat day and Narendra Modi’s team commissioned Rahman to do this. (Yes. the same Modi!!..Wipe that grin off now!)

  1. Beautiful! “JaI” has become ARR’S positive sentiment now? May be that works…He is capable of bringing the feel of ‘Patriotism” in such songs. Starts so soft and branches beautifully to a different scale in a faster pace, one of his styles of success….Can visualise Dandiya/ Garba with this as the song flows..I love this instrument called “Cello”…what a feel of grandeur it gives! Now, get inspired! already in the sets?!

    1. “Jai Jai Garvi Gujarat” is sort of a Gujarati patriotic poem & apparently some people have already composed songs for the same words in the past..This is AR’s turn now. And he has done a fabulous job with great emphasis on the melody & while keeping the folk essence..
